STUNNIN J.LO, THE AMAs 2015 HOST

Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969), also known as J. Lo, is an American actress, author, fashion designer, dancer, producer, and singer. She became interested in pursuing a career in the entertainment industry following a minor role in the 1986 film My Little Girl, to the dismay of her Puerto Rican parents, who believed that it was an unrealistic career route for a Hispanic. Lopez gained her first regular high-profile job as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color in 1991, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993.

She received her first leading role in the Selena biopic of the same name in 1997. Lopez became the first Latina actress to earn over US$1 million for a role the following year, with the film Out of Sight. She ventured into the music industry in 1999 with her debut studio album, On the 6. With the simultaneous release of her second studio album J.Lo and her film The Wedding Planner in 2001, Lopez became the first person to have a number one album and film in the same week.

Her 2002 remix album, J to tha L–O! The Remixes, became the first in history to debut at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, while her fifth studio album, Como Ama una Mujer (2007), received the highest first-week sales for a Spanish album in the United States. With past record sales of over 60 million and a cumulative film gross of over US$2 billion, Lopez is regarded as the most influential Hispanic performer in the United States, as well as its highest paid Latin entertainer.

Along with Pitbull and Claudia Leitte, she recorded "We Are One (Ole Ola)", which served as the official song of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Beyond entertainment, Lopez enjoys a highly successful business career, consisting of various clothing lines, accessories, fragrances, a production company, television shows and a charitable foundation among other business interests.

Lopez's personal relationships have attracted worldwide media attention; she has been married three times. Following the breakdown of her first marriage, Lopez dated rapper and entertainment mogul Sean Combs. Following the breakdown of her second marriage to husband Cris Judd, she dated actor Ben Affleck. Their relationship was the subject of much media interest; their planned wedding was cancelled four days before the ceremony.

Lopez then wed longtime friend Marc Anthony; they separated after seven years of marriage. Lopez gave birth to their twins, Emme and Maximilian, in 2008.

RED, GREEN & GOLD FOR CHRISTMAS

There are several colors which are traditionally associated with Christmas. I like Red, Green and Gold. But why do I like them and what do the colors represent?

Evergreen plants, like Holly, Ivy and Mistletoe have been used for thousands of years to decorate and brighten up buildings during the long dark winter. They also reminded people that spring would come and that winter wouldn't last forever!

An early use of red at Christmas were the apples on the paradise tree. They represented the fall of Adam in the plays.

Red is also the color of Holly berries, which is said to represent the blood of Jesus when he died on the cross.

Red is also the color of Bishops robes. These would have been worn by St. Nicholas and then also became Santa's uniform!

Gold is the color of the Sun and light - both very important in the dark winter. And both red and gold are the colors of fire that you need to keep you warm.

Gold was also one of the presents brought to the baby Jesus by one of the wise men and traditionally it's the color used to show the star that the wise men followed Silver is sometimes used instead of (or with) gold. But gold is a 'warmer' color.

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA – DAVID FINERMAN (2006)
Based on Lauren Weisberger’s homonymous 2003 novel, The Devil Wears Prada tells the story of a young girl, Andrea Sachs (played by Anne Hathaway) struggling to survive in her job at one of the most illustrious fashion magazines in the world as co-assistant to editor in chief Miranda Priestly (interpreted by Meryl Streep). The great cast boasts also Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci. Meryl Streep gained her 14th Oscar as Best Actess for her outstanding interpretation of Priestly, a character probably inspired by US Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

YVES SAINT LAURENT 2014
If you are considered of one of the greatest names in fashion history, who had such an incredible story, you deserve more than just one movie about your life! There are several movies about Saint Laurent: “L’amour fou” (2010) tells the life story of this great designer from the perspective of his big love, soul mate and business partner Pierre BergĂ©. In 2014 there were even two movies released telling the live of Yves Saint Laurent: Saint aurent and Yves Saint Laurent, which is named as the best one.

COCO CHANEL 2009
To perfect our knowledge about the biggest fashion designer, we were blessed when Coco Chanel was released in 2009. A very nice movie showing the early life of Gabrielle Chanel, better known as Coco Chanel, the big designer who relieved women from the corsage in the late twenties. A very well done and romantic movie with the charming Audrey Tautou in the leading role.

FACTORY GIRL – GEORGE HICKENLOOPER (2006)
Factory girl is the biopic based on the life of 1960s iconic superstar and Andy Warhol’s muse Edie Sedgwick, starring Sienna Miller. A modern interpretation of one the most popular fashion myths of the 60s, which however received lots of negative critiques by the living representatives of the Factory. For a deeper look at the life of the incredible Edie it’s worth watching the docu-film Ciao! Manhattan where Edie and the other characters play the role of themselves.

VALENTINO: THE LAST EMPEROR 2008
Coming from one fashion icon to the next one: Valentino Garavani.
This movie shows the life of Valentino and is very amusing and adorable. You really get the feeling to meet the legendary designer through this movie or at least you seem to know him as good as an old friend after you watched this funny and emotional movie about a man who reached for the stars and really got them.

LAGERFELD CONFIDENTIAL 2007
Karl Lagerfeld is not only creative director for Fendi and Coco Chanel, which is considered as the most famous fashion brand in the world, he is a brand by himself! With his white ponytail, black sunglasses and high starched collars he has become a legend in the fashion industry. Lagerfeld Confidential gives you a really deep insight of Karl Lagerfeld as a designer and as a person. If you want to talk about fashion, this documentary simply mustn’t miss in your movie collection.

GIA 1998
A grammy-winning fashion drama tells the true story about Gia Carangi starring Angelina Jolie, that shows the up’s and down’s of being a supermodel in the eighties, fighting with temptations like drugs and the exploding sex-scene from these century. Gia was one of the first famous women who died of HIV. A good insight of the fashion scene in a very wild and obsessive time period.
